Telephone: 01624 640655], the “Website Owner”, operates www.connect2charity.im (the “Website”).

The Website Owner ("we" or "us" or "our") provides all web pages comprising the Website ("Website") to visitors (cumulatively referred to as "you" or "your" hereinafter) subject to the terms and conditions set out herewith, in addition to the Privacy Policy and any other relevant terms and conditions, policies and notices which may be applicable to a specific section of the Website.

Acceptance
Using any page of the Website, www.connect2charity.im, and associated services implies acceptance of these terms and conditions. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions, you should not continue to access the Website and/or use associated services.

You are deemed to have accepted the current version each time you access the Website and/or use associated services.

Connect2Charity reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.

Information on the Website
The Website Owner offers the use of the Website as a resource for any interested party to gain access to information relating to registered charities and non profit sector organisations of the Isle of Man.

Whilst every effort is made to update the information contained on the Website, neither the Website Owner nor any third party or data or content provider make any representations or warranties, whether express, implied in law or residual, as to the sequence, accuracy, completeness or reliability of information, opinions, research information, data and/or content contained on the Website (including but not limited to any information which may be provided by any third party or data or content providers) and shall not be bound in any manner by any information contained on the Website.

The Website Owner reserves the right at any time to change or discontinue without notice, any aspect or feature of the Website.

About the charities and non profit organisations featured on the Website

The Website shows both charities and non profit organisations.

Charities must be registered with the Isle of Man Government Courts i.e. General Registry. Non profit organisations do not. The status of each organisation is indicated on each charity web page on the Website.

The Website Owner reserves the right to use the collective term ‘charity’ and/or ‘charities’ for charities and non profit organisations throughout the Website through disclosure of this fact in these Terms and Conditions of Website Use, Terms and Conditions of Web Page Services, Terms and Conditions of Tailored Accounting Package Services and Privacy Policy.

Charities are accepted at the Website Owner’s discretion.

Donations

The Website allows you to donate to any of the charities listed on the Website. Every charity featured has a contractual agreement with the Website Owner.

Charities can have similar names: it is your responsibility to check that you are donating to the organisation you intended.

Donations made to specific charities (via a specific web page on the Website) are made directly to the charity. Connect2Charity accepts no involvement in/liability for such.

Donations made to Connect2Charity for the purpose of forwarding to specific charity/charities will follow the Terms and Conditions of Services agreed with each charity.

Donations and/or sponsorship made to Connect2Charity will only be refunded to donors and/or sponsors with the prior written consent of the charity to which it has been made, regardless of whether or not the donation has been paid to the charity by the Website Owner.

Use of your donation

The Website Owner is not responsible for any dissatisfaction you may have regarding the charity’s use of any donation you may make through the Website or web pages powered by us. Please note that the charity reserves the right to use your donation for its general purposes. The Website Owner cannot guarantee that funds will be earmarked for a particular appeal, unless specifically stated at time of donation or by the charity itself.

Website Owner fees

The Website Owner charges a small administration fee on every donation made directly to Connect2Charity for the purpose of forwarding on to relevant charities. Fees are agreed with each charity through Terms and Conditions of Web Page Services.

Unauthorised card/PayPal Account use

When a donation is made on the Website the transaction is final and not disputable unless unauthorised use of your payment card/PayPal Account is proved. If you become aware of fraudulent use of your card/PayPal Account, or if it is lost or stolen, you must notify your card provider/PayPal in accordance with their reporting rules.

Privacy

The Website Owner’s Privacy Policy forms part of these terms and conditions. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you also give your consent to the way we may handle your personal information under the Privacy Policy.

User conduct

You must at all times use the Website and its associated services in a responsible and legal manner. In particular, but not exclusively, you must not:

  • attempt to publish, post, distribute or disseminate any defamatory, obscene, offensive, racist or indecent or unlawful material or information, on to/via/connected to the Website or Website Owner. The Website Owner reserves the right to remove or edit any content on the Website at its sole discretion and without notice, regardless of whether or not it is, in the opinion of any third party, offensive, obscene or racist.   • defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the rights of other users or any third parties
  • misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any other person or organisation

  • use the Website to send or post any message or material that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, indecent, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, sexually orientated, racially offensive, profane, pornographic or violates any applicable law
  • use the Website to conduct, display or forward surveys, raffles, lotteries, contests, pyramid schemes or chain letters
  • interfere with, or disrupt, the service or services or networks connected to the service and introduce any computer virus (including any variant or similar malicious code or instructions) to the Website Owner

The Website Owner reserves the right to cancel associated services, delete your details without notice and report you to appropriate authorities in the event of a breach of the above rules. 

You also hereby indemnify the Website Owner against any loss, liability, damage or expense of whatever nature which the Website Owner or any third party may suffer which is caused by or attributable to, whether directly or indirectly, in the event of a proven breach of the above rules.

Links

The Website contains external links to the websites of charities, non-profit organisations and other organisations. Inclusion of an external link does not imply responsibility for its contents or reliability either to or from the Website. In addition, the inclusion of an external link does not provide endorsement of its content, opinions or views. Your relationship and any transactions with other organisations through their website(s) is your own responsibility. When visiting external links you must refer to that websites terms and conditions.

Trademarks and copyright

The trademarks, design, content, graphics, service marks, logos and any other product and associated services that we may present on the Website (collectively known as “trademarks”), from time to time, are registered and unregistered trademarks of the Website Owner and are protected by the applicable intellectual property and proprietary rights and laws. They may not be used in connection with any product or service that is not the Website Owner’s, nor in any manner that is likely to cause confusion, or in any way that may disparage or discredit the Website Owner.

Other trademarks that appear on the Website, in particular (but not exclusively) on web pages of charities and other organisations, are the property of their respective owners and are likely to be registered trade marks and subject to restrictions as to their use.

Commercial use or publication of the material including reproduction, storage, modification, distribution or publication without the prior written consent of the Website Owner and/or, where applicable, the respective copyright owner(s) is prohibited, except for your own personal or non-commercial use provided you do not alter it or remove any copyright, trade mark or other proprietary notice.

No hyperlinks shall be created from any website controlled by you or otherwise to this Website without the prior written permission of the Website Owner.

In the event that you commit a breach of these terms and conditions, the Website Owner reserves the right at its sole discretion to immediately and without notice suspend or permanently deny your access to all or part of the Website and associated services.

Except as expressly set out in these terms and conditions, the Website Owner makes no warranties, representations, statements or guarantees (whether express, implied in law or residual) regarding the Website, the information contained on the Website, you or your organisations personal information or material and information transmitted over our system(s) to the extent permissible by law.

The Website Owner shall undertake general maintenance and upkeep of the Website from time to time. During these periods, the Website may not be available for use.

No liability is accepted by the Website Owner or any related third party or data or content provider for delays, inaccuracies, errors in, or omission of any information or the transmission thereof, or for any actions taken in reliance thereon or occasioned thereby or by reason of non-performance or interruption, or termination thereof.

The Website Owner may change the format and content of the Website from time to time. You should refresh your browser each time you visit the Website to ensure that you download the most up to date version of the Website, including any relevant terms and conditions, policies or notices. You acknowledge that by visiting the Website from time to time, you shall become bound to the current version of the relevant terms and conditions (the "current version") and, unless stated in the current version, all previous versions shall be superseded by the current version. Governing law

Any relevant terms and conditions, policies and notices are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Isle of Man without giving effect to any principles of conflict of law. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Isle of Man courts in respect of any disputes arising in connection with the Website, or any relevant terms and conditions, policies and notices or any matter related to or in connection therewith.

The Website Owner does not make any warranty or representation that information on the Website is appropriate for use in any jurisdiction (other than the Isle of Man). Entire agreement

These Website terms and conditions constitute an agreement between you and the Website Owner in relation to your use of the Website. Neither you nor the Website Owner shall be bound by any express tacit nor implied representation, warranty, promise or the like not recorded herein.

Unless otherwise specifically stated these Website terms and conditions supersede and replace all prior commitments, undertakings or representations, whether written or oral, between you and the Website Owner in respect of your use of the Website.

Conflict

Cession

Severability
