Who we are
Namaste Children’s House Isle of Man was established in 2005 to provide funds for Namaste Children’s House (NCH) in Pokhara, Nepal. NCH is a multi-denominational non-profit social organisation dedicated to providing love, education, healthcare, nutrition, and a solid sense of family, community and cultural identity to the orphaned and needy children of Nepal.

NCH's founding principles are based in the name itself - NAMASTE. By making a sincere effort to honour and respect the GOD that is living in all of us, we can strive to create a loving, creative, holistic, and healthy environment for these special children whose lives we have been faithfully entrusted with.

Our aims and objectives
  • to bring people from around the world closer and to give them a better understanding of the different cultures, religions, and problems we all face
  • to work collectively towards restoring peace, prosperity and happiness to all human beings
  • to effect economic changes by means of raising qualified and well-informed men and women
The work we do
Namaste Children’s House: Many children in Nepal have lost their parents due to floods, landslides, disease, and drugs, as well as from the increasingly violent conflict between the Maoist insurgents and the government of Nepal. As a young man, Visma Raj Paudel dreamed of establishing an orphanage that could provide these needy children with a home, healthcare, and an education. In 2003, Visma’s dream was realised, with the help of many friends, and Namaste Children’s House in Pokhara, Nepal was established.

Namaste Children House is a phenomenal ‘Home-Style’ Orphanage and has been so successful in helping at-risk children that it has developed a good reputation within the community. The staff is highly devoted and has a great deal of experience.

Seventy five children currently live at the Namaste Children’s House orphanage.

Education Scholarship Programme: We often find orphaned or abandoned children living in a loving and supportive environment with a neighbour or older family member. In these cases we do not want to separate families or further harm children by removing them from a loving atmosphere. We believe the solution is to support these children academically and our Education Scholarship Program is designed to help children get an education which is their right here in Nepal. A scholarship covers the cost of tuition and school fees, books and stationery, clothes, shoes and basic medical support.

One hundred and ten children are currently supported by this programme.
