Who we are
Mann Cat Sanctuary is a self funded Manx registered charity founded in April 1997 in response to the ever increasing problem of unwanted cats and kittens on the Island. The Sanctuary at Ash Villa, Main Road, Santon is run by Sue Critchley with the help of a small group of dedicated volunteers. As a self funded, Manx registered Charity we depend on the generosity of compassionate people to support us.
Our Aims and objectives
- Provide a safe haven for rescued cats and kittens, and rehabilitate and rehome them where possible
- Promote animal welfare and raise awareness of the need for health care. Free information leaflets are available from the Sanctuary
- Encourage the neutering of all cats to help reduce the number of unwanted pets
The work we do
The Sanctuary provides a comfortable, stimulating home to many victims of cruelty, neglect and rejection. Many are found suitable homes - adopting a cat from the Sanctuary requires a home visit and a donation. We do not rehome cats off the Island. Any cats that are either too old or very disturbed remain safe and secure at the Sanctuary for the rest of their lives. There are also many other animals living at the Mann Cat Sanctuary, including goats, ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs, plus ducks, geese and Sheila the sheep.
How you can help support us
Sponsor a cat or animal
Sponsor one of our cats for a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion. For a minimum of £3 every month or £30 a year, you can contribute to the daily care of one of our cats. There are many other rescued animals living at Mann Cat Sanctuary who can also be sponsored including goats, ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs, plus ducks and Geese.
Become a friend of the Sanctuary
You can become a friend of the Sanctuary for a minimum of £5 per month by standing order or £60 per year.
The Sanctuary Shop
Visit our shop at the Sanctuary - proceeds from everything you buy go directly to helping the many needy animals in our care.
Donations
We welcome donations by Standing Order, Cheque, Credit Card online or by Post.
Donation Certificates
Buy a Donation Certificate (for any amount) as a gift for a friend or a family member.
Regular sponsorship
Regular sponsorship for a particular animal gives a guaranteed income to help us carry on with our vital work.
