The work we do
Counselling and Support: We offer one-to-one counselling either at the client’s home, or in the Cruse Office in Onchan. We also offer telephone counselling and trained bereavement support volunteers for children and young people, prison visits, neo-natal bereavements and miscarriage, and people bereaved by suicide. We offer access to a Reference Library and provide information about bereavement support groups.
Training Courses: Bereavement Awareness Training for Organisations. This course will enable all members of staff within an organisation to attain a better understanding of the complex phenomenon of bereavement in order to help colleagues who mourn to resolve their grief in a positive manner. Organised and presented by our Training Consultant Anthony Cain. Please email helper@manx.net, or call 668192 for more information. Bereavement Awareness Training for Schools is organised and presented by our Youth Projects Officer, Gill Skinner. Our Youth Projects Officer is hoping to reach other youth organisations on the Isle of Man including Scouts, Guides etc. For more information, email gillskinner@manx.net or call 668192.
